Near Jhalrapatan exists an  enchanting cluster of temples known Chandravati, noted for its intricate  sculpture.<\/p>\n<p>The Sun Temple is situated in the heart of  Jhalrapatan town, the temple has a developed Shikhara rising 96 feet  from ground and forming a cluster-Shikhara. Assigned to 11th Century,  this nagar temple is of Bhumija category comprising a ground plan:  Saptaratha garbhagraha (sanctum cell), antarala (vestibule),  rangamandapa (pillared hall) and three pravesha-mandapa (entrance  porches) adorned with elegant toranarches. Actually, it is a Shiva  Shrine, known as Padmanabh, Figures of goddesses Ganga and Yamuna are  distinct at the sanctum door, and flying motifs of Vidyadharas and  Gandharvas, heavenly magicians and musicians, float about on walls, all  carved superbly.<br \/>\nJhalrapatan with its romantic landscape and  architectural grandeur invites both, the tourist traveler and scholarly  inclined.<\/p>\n<p>The main attraction of the temple consists of  the sculptural embellishment of its Jangha (wall).
